Case Description
- · High efficiency Stairmand type cyclone.
Operating Condition
- · Without particle : Uniform flow was specified with the air velocity equal to 16.1 m/s at inlet
- · With particle : Uniform flow was specified with the air velocity equal to 10, 20, 30 m/s at inlet

Physical Models
- Turbulence Model :
· RANS : RSTM LG(Launder Gibson) model
· LES : Smagorinsky model
- Turbulence particle dispersion model
· DRW (Discrete random walk)
· CRW (Continuous random walk)
Results
- Radial distributions of tangential and axial velocity profiles by RSTM and LES
- Grade collection efficiencies by CRW in RSTM and LES and their curves fitted to the logistic function
- Time-averaged pressure contours by (a) RSTM and (b) LES
- Effect of the dispersion models, DRW and CRW, on the overall collection efficiency
